- No. Audio is processed in memory on your device, transcribed, then discarded. It never reaches our servers, not even as a temporary file. You can verify this in our code: the specific function is linked on our /security page.
- Standard transcribes locally and summarizes in the EU cloud. Local Only keeps everything on your machine. Fast Cloud (Pro and Pro Unlimited) transcribes through our EU cloud, fast on any hardware, with audio encrypted in transit and never saved. You choose per meeting.
- We can't recover it: that's the point of zero-knowledge encryption. During onboarding you receive 12 recovery words (BIP39 standard). Write them down and store them safely. If you lose both the passphrase and the recovery words, your encrypted archive becomes unreadable. Trade-offs are real.
- Yes. For summarization we use Mistral, an EU company, on EU-hosted infrastructure, with Zero Data Retention active and a signed data processing agreement (DPA). Full details on /security.
- Because privacy promises that can't be verified are marketing. Everything that handles your data is on GitHub under AGPL v3. Read it, audit it, fork it.
- The Free plan exists and is real, not crippled. Pro is for people who need a longer archive, better summary quality, and the full feature set. We need revenue to stay independent and maintain the infrastructure. Simple.
